Promotional Materials: Offline Marketing for Conzoom Solutions

Although we are primarily an online marketing agency, we also work across disciplines and step into the offline world when it benefits a project. Our guiding principle: reach the target audience wherever they are.
In this case, our aim was to draw the attention of brick-and-mortar retailers to the online platform Conzoom Solutions. Here’s how we brought a purely digital platform to life at a trade fair — with offline promotional tools ranging from flyers and buttons to an interactive booth.

Conzoom Solutions is Messe Frankfurt’s practice-focused online platform. Retailers will find studies, video interviews, recorded stage presentations, and podcasts covering topics such as HR, marketing, sales, and point-of-sale strategies. We already provide editorial content and online marketing support for the platform.
Our challenge: How do you make a purely digital platform visible and tangible at a live event like the Frankfurt trade fair — giving it a real-world presence?
We explored various offline marketing options and settled on promotional materials that encouraged both active and passive engagement.
Brand ambassadors were stationed throughout the fair, equipped with Conzoom Solutions tote bags, iPads, flyers, and buttons. They actively approached visitors, presented the platform via iPad, and encouraged newsletter sign-ups. Those who engaged in conversation received a small thank-you gift: a Sprout pencil — “the pencil that grows” — with integrated flower seeds. The seeds symbolised business growth, as professional development delivers the greatest return. Plus, the pencil is 100% biodegradable, reflecting current sustainability trends.
The ambassadors were positioned at existing touchpoints with the platform — for example, near stages where the Conzoom Solutions trailer was playing. They also received performance-based bonuses tied to the number of new newsletter subscriptions.

Beyond direct contact, we made use of trade show radio and stage moderators, who promoted Conzoom Solutions and pointed out that attendees could find show lectures, trends, and interviews on the platform afterward — strengthening the on-/offline link.
We also set up a dedicated lounge area where visitors could explore the platform in a relaxed environment, watch videos, and take a break from the busy trade fair. A staff member was available to answer questions and provide assistance.

In addition to active outreach, we also chose offline advertising materials that could be considered true classics — namely flyers and posters. As a Frankfurt-based film production agency, we also produced a trailer that was shown on various screens throughout the fairgrounds.
Finally, we designed an informational booth where visitors could ask questions, navigate the platform on a touchscreen, and take home flyers or fold-out business cards as a tangible reminder of Conzoom Solutions after the event.
